Founded in 2013, Sharadar grew out of frustration with the lack of good fundamental and market data options for retail investors. We started curating data to fix that problem for ourselves, then partnered with Nasdaq (Quandl) to share our solution with other retail investors.
Over the years we have expanded our offerings into what we believe is the most comprehensive and accessible fundamental data available - nearly free of survivorship bias.
Where does our name come from?
Sharadar is a portmanteau of "share" and "radar" that captures our purpose: to be a primary source of company intelligence. We combine people, software, and process to produce investment-grade data for the full spectrum of investors, analysts, and developers - from individual retail investors and startups to large hedge funds and established application developers. Built for the internet from day one, we make high-quality data widely accessible without compromise.
This is Sharadar's platform for individual retail investors. Commercial users can continue to find us on Nasdaq.
